Compatibility

The original CuddleLand Web site was tested with the following web-browsers:

• Mosaic 2.6 for AIX:
  • No problems. Doesn't support centered lines, though.
• Mosaic 2.7 Beta 4 for Linux:
  • Problems showing gifs. Reason unclear.
• Mosaic 2.7 Beta 5 for Linux:
  • Everything fine.
• Amaya 0.8c for Linux:
  • Some minor display problems due to the alpha-status of the browser.
• GNUscape Navigator 2.2.6 under XEmacs 19.14
  • Problems showing gifs. Reason unclear.
  • Problems formating centered lines with non-default font. Reason unclear.
• IBM Web-Explorer for OS/2 Warp 4
  • All fine.
• Netscape Navigator 2.02 Beta 2 for OS/2 Warp 4
  • All fine.
• Netscape Navigator 3 for Windows 95
  • All fine.

Since that series of tests, Locksley (who can never leave well enough alone) monkeyed about with the site. It has been modified to change background colors, add navigation aids and update site management information. The revised site has been tested for compatibility with the following browsers.

• Netscape Navigator 3.0 for Windows 95 (version 4.00.950a)
  • All fine.
• HotJava 1.1-beta2 (under Linux 2.0, JDK 1.1.3):
  • Doesn´t honour centering of text/images in some circumstances
  • Everything else works fine
